Le fauci del lupo

The naive Gilberte, married to the architect Barentin, is charmed by the fascinating Gaston, her husband’s friend. When she is about to give in to his flattery, she is stopped by her friend Antoinette, a former victim of the seducer, who agrees to go to his house in Gilberte’s place to expose his misdeeds. An astute and lazy servant, determined to create all sorts of problems for Gaston in order to get himself fired, inadvertently gets her into trouble. Barentin, busy going to see his mistress, and Antoinette’s husband, Planturel, whose mistress, coincidentally, is the same as Barentin’s, also fall into the web of deceit.
