Duchotel, a very liar husband, under the pretext of hunting, gives himself to adultery. His wife Léontine, meanwhile, is being courted by another suitor, Moricet, who tries to open her eyes to her husband’s betrayals. When Cassagne, a friend of Duchotel’s, reveals to her that he never went hunting with her husband, Léontine, suspicious, decides to go with Moricet to his garçonnière for revenge. Here, due to a series of misunderstandings, several characters meet and clash. In the end, discovered by his wife, the protagonist will be forced to ask her forgiveness.
