Determined to unmask her lover, he informs the police commissioner to go to his house when he is out with the baby. Meanwhile, a certain Grognard, an admirer of his wife&#8217;s, shows up at the house. He teaches rhetoric to Quimper and claims to be called Lemercier to conceal his identity. Having read in the newspaper about a dangerous criminal wanted, whose surname is Lemercier, the singer runs to the police station, leaving the hypothetical evildoer with her lover, in the hope that he will succeed in framing him.
